Canadian Election 2011

Party politics are a joke! I really wish we could usher in a new era for Canada, and elect a REAL that unites all "party*" leaders!

*"Unite" Lead in an mannerism; that, by pure example, sets the bar so high, that all politicians** scramble to achieve the same level of competence!!!!!

**Worldwide; while every other country, endevours to become "THAT DAMN GOOD"!

Stop the Tar Sands

On September 26th 2011 we’re planning a peaceful protest in Ottawa to say no to a toxic tar sands industry and defuse the largest carbon bomb in North America. With people power and the time-tested tactics of civil disobedience – join thousands of people from across the country in a sit-in. Together we’ll amplify our voices and escalate the movement and stop the tar sands and build the just, healthy future we all want to see!
There comes a time when you need to take a stand. When sending letters and signing petitions isn't enough. When together we must say, "enough is enough — not on our watch".That time is now. We must act together for the health of our planet, our air, our water, our climate, and our children. On September 26th we need you to come to Ottawa to join a historic action to oppose the tar sands. In a large peaceful protest, many will be risking arrest to tell the Harper government that we don’t support his reckless agenda; …

Dirty vs Clean

Dirty vs Clean : Finite vs brainer for me. Should my country spend billions on maintaining our way of life, or use the same money, to leap ahead and surpass every other nation on the planet; setting the standards for all humanity? The job creation and opportunities for all Canadians, would assure our economic stability.......not to mention; providing every single Canadian family and business with cheap, clean, renewable energy!!

Backwards Thinking

Oil is akin to magic! While humans have only been using fossil fuels for a scant, 0.1% of the time we have been industrialized; it has completely redesigned the way we live!!

Now, scientists and conservationists are realizing, that we need to find other sources of energy. Politicians are slow to comply; why?

Simplistic; the politicians want to keep their jobs, and protect their personal investments.

Lets face it; everyone knows that fossil fuels are bad for the planet, but no one wants to admit it; for fear they might have to pay for the cost of fixing the problem! THAT, is the issue at hand.....

.....not IF we have to find other sources of energy; but at what cost!

The debate is based on jobs, and money. No politician in his / her right mind, would want to bankrupt a country, or force thousands of Canadians out of work.

We all know that building pipelines through pristine forests are wrong, but it would safeguard jobs, and our economy; so the politicians, bow to the whims of the oil tycoon…
