I've never been in a motor vehicle accident; until now.

Sure, I've had my share of scrapes and near misses – I'm a country boy. I've been hit four times by vehicles while rollerblading. I've wiped out on motorbikes, three-wheelers, and quads. I've given myself road-rash from falling off bikes and horses. As a young man, the endless list of bruises, cuts, and concussions, were caused from a lifetime of taking chances, and pushing the envelope in the pursuit of “a good time”.

I can now add being T-Boned by another vehicle to my list of injuries.

On May 23rd, 2014, I was riding shotgun with my life-long, best friend, Diane. We were heading South, in the city of St. Thomas, checking out my new surroundings, and enjoying a relaxing conversation. I have recently moved to London, Ontario, and I am fascinated by the positive energy, the rich history, and the magnitude of opportunities, my new home offers.

What happened next, is something I will remember for the rest of my …

Part of "Into the Darkness" - Coming in Fall 2014!!!

Dan took a step towards the towering figure, crossed his arms defensibly, and cocked his head, “What do you mean by choose?”, he asked.
The fierce eyes behind the massive plate helm narrowed. Turning to the exquisitely beautiful woman standing at His side, He rumbled, “Karyn, can you explain this, please?”
The woman in the gossamer blue dress smiled at Her brother, and patted Him on the heavily armoured arm. Her voice was melodious, and to mere mortals, it evoked powerful emotions; The loneliness of the wind crying on the mountaintop, the joy of a child's birth, the peace and tranquility of a sunset, and the despair of a lost love. “Of course, dear Brother”, she sang. She turned and addressed the small group of friends, “You must choose who you are in your dreams”.
Lenin muttered, “Well, that really isn't very helpful”. He raised an eyebrow in curiosity, and took a deep breath, and sighed, “We get that …

Lucid Lucidity

A LUCID DREAM is any dream in which one is aware that one is dreaming. In relation to this phenomenon, Greek philosopher Aristotle observed: "often when one is asleep, there is something in consciousness which declares that what then presents itself is but a dream"

The person most widely acknowledged as having coined the term is Dutch psychiatrist and writer Frederik (Willem) van Eeden (1860–1932) In a lucid dream, the dreamer has greater chances to exert some degree of control over their participation within the dream or be able to manipulate their imaginary experiences in the dream environment.

1:  clearness of thought or style 2:  a presumed capacity to perceive the truth directly and instantaneously Dreams

Lucid dreams can be realistic and vivid. Trust me, I know.
Everyone dreams. We have to; it's a necessary function. With the simple declaration that even the lowliest of animals, including unborn children, do dream, we can skip past the science lesson.

We all come to a crossroads in life. A choice, that has the potential to change your whole life. These events, fortunately are rare, as humans are creatures of habit; they thrive on things staying the same, and are apprehensive to try new things. Our body and minds are designed for cycles, and schedules. Major change scares us; so when faced with a major choice in life, it is very normal to be undecided, and can even have us put off doing things we know we should.

This is my crossroads; to walk away from everything I know, on a wing and a prayer. I have no idea where I am heading, living, working, etc. I made this realization in the summer of 2012, and just when I thought things couldn't possibly get any worse, they did.

With all the other drama going on in my life, I was made homeless THREE TIMES in one & a half months!!

Toss in a few extremely failed attempts at dating, a dwindling district (Rainy River District), and I am watching as all my friends leave, one-…
